collabtheatre is a community built for Mastering.com students — a place to find collaborators, share skills, and make real work with other musicians. Before you dive in, please take a moment to read how this space works and what we expect of everyone in it.

Platform liability

collabtheatre is a facilitation tool provided by Mastering.com to connect students with one another. Mastering.com is not a party to any arrangement, agreement, or transaction that takes place between members — whether creative, financial, or otherwise. All interactions on this platform are entered into at your own discretion. We strongly encourage you to exercise sound judgement, take time to get to know collaborators before committing to any project, and never share sensitive personal or financial information with someone you have not sufficiently vetted.

Vetting collaborators

Take the time to review a member's profile thoroughly before agreeing to work together — their skills, work samples, and how they describe themselves on the platform. For any engagement involving money, we recommend establishing a clear written agreement before work begins. If something doesn't feel right, trust that instinct. You can block any member at any time.

Reporting concerns

If you encounter behaviour that feels inappropriate, suspicious, or in violation of our community guidelines — including harassment, misrepresentation, or any form of exploitation — please report it immediately using the in-platform reporting tool or by emailing us at support@mastering.com.

Paid services & the spirit of this platform

collabtheatre does support members offering paid services — mixing, production, session work, and more. That said, the primary purpose of this platform is creative collaboration and the development of your craft alongside fellow students. Paid arrangements are entirely valid, but we encourage you to approach this community first and foremost as a space for mutual growth rather than a commercial marketplace.
